Horizon213 homeDistribution rounds

The van leaves loaded and comes back reconciled

Distribution is not a delivery note printed at a desk. Goods and cash leave the building together on a van and have to come back accounted for. Horizon213 treats the round as the unit: what was loaded, what each stop took, what was returned, and what is in the bag at the end.

01

Sending the round out

The load is recorded before the van moves, so the stock is out of the depot and on the round.

  • Build a round from the stops it will make
  • Load the van, with the stock moving out of the warehouse
  • Print the round sheet the driver actually carries
  • The round sheet prints in Arabic, French or English
02

Settling each stop

Every stop ends in one of two ways, and both are recorded.

  • Delivered in full, in part, or brought back
  • Cash collected at the stop recorded against it
  • What the customer refused returns to stock, not to a note in a pocket
  • Each stop can be settled as it happens or on return
03

Closing the round

The round closes when the goods and the money both agree.

  • Count the bag against what the stops say was collected
  • Unsold stock returns to the warehouse as a movement
  • The difference is shown, not absorbed
  • The round's sales sit in the same ledger as counter and invoice sales

Questions people ask

Is this for van sales or for scheduled deliveries?

Both. A round is a list of stops with stock on a vehicle. Whether the quantities were agreed in advance or decided at the door, the settlement is the same: delivered, part-delivered, or returned.

What if the driver has no phone signal?

The round sheet is printed and carried. Stops can be settled on return from the sheet, so the round does not depend on coverage along the route.

Does returned stock go back automatically?

It goes back when the round is closed, as a recorded stock movement, so the depot balance and the round both stay explainable.
